Job summary

Arrive AI in Fishers, IN is hiring an Electrical Engineer – Firmware to own the low-level software for our next‑generation autonomous delivery hardware. You’ll write firmware for boards on the bench and collaborate with EE designers from first power-on through validated, repeatable operation.

Our embedded stack is written in Rust; prior Rust experience helps but is not required. Strong C/C++ skills, RTOS experience, and hardware bring‑up expertise are highly valued as you help shape

Qualifications

• Firmware experience on embedded systems required.
• 5+ years of professional firmware development.
• Strong C/C++ proficiency for resource-constrained targets.
• Experience with RTOS such as Zephyr, FreeRTOS, or ThreadX.
• Ability to design hardware abstraction layers and driver code.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain firmware for microcontroller-based subsystems across projects.
• Develop device drivers for sensors, actuators, and peripherals.
• Tune RTOS tasks, IPC, and memory footprint for real-time performance.
• Bring-up new PCBs from schematic to validated hardware.
• Collaborate with EE and software teams to define interfaces.
• Improve observability with logging and diagnostics.
• Document architecture and bring-up procedures.
