Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Firmware Engineer to develop low-level embedded software for defense platforms. You will work with senior engineers to update requirements, write firmware in C, and design tests to prove correctness.

Requirements include a BS in a relevant field, 2+ years of embedded experience, and strong knowledge of SPI/I2C/UART/CAN. You will collaborate across hardware and software teams on prototype to production projects.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
• 2+ years of firmware/embedded software development experience.
• Solid C coding ability for embedded systems.
• Experience with common bus protocols (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, or similar).
• Familiarity with board bring-up, debugging tools, and coding best practices.
• Exposure to writing or executing test procedures for embedded firmware.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop low-level firmware in C for microcontrollers across multiple product platforms.
• Write and execute test procedures that verify firmware behavior against requirements.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues that span the electrical, firmware, and software boundaries.
• Support board bring-up and hardware-firmware integration alongside cross-functional teams.
• Help maintain requirements traceability to ensure every requirement has a corresponding test.
• Contribute to multiple projects at various stages from prototype through production.
