Job summary

Tesla is seeking an Embedded Firmware Engineer for Battery Management System responsibilities in California. You will design and implement firmware for microcontrollers and system-on-chip platforms, focusing on reliability and power efficiency.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of embedded systems experience.
• Experience with RTOS such as FreeRTOS, Zephyr or VxWorks.
• Familiarity with debugging tools (JTAG, oscilloscopes, logic analysers).

Responsibilities

• Develop firmware for microcontrollers and SoCs.
• Write low-level drivers for UART, SPI, I2C and GPIO.
• Perform hardware bring-up, debugging and board-level testing.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers on PCB design and schematics.
