Qualifications

• B.S. in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years developing production embedded firmware in C for Arm Cortex‑M MCUs.
• Hands‑on experience configuring common MCU peripherals: ADC, SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, DMA, timers, GPIO.
• Working knowledge of CAN bus message framing, arbitration, bus‑off handling.
• Ability to read schematics, datasheets, and reference manuals and reconcile them.
• Practical debugging with SWD/JTAG, logic analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
• Proficiency with Git and structured branch, review, and release workflow.
• Willingness to work to a written specification and accept review on safety‑critical paths.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain BMS firmware in C on STM32 Cortex‑M platforms for safety‑critical battery applications.
• Write and test peripheral drivers for ADC, SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, DMA, timers, and GPIO.
• Integrate multi‑cell battery monitoring front ends for cell voltage, temperature, and current measurement.
• Implement protection features to specification and verify trip behavior on bench.
• Implement and tune passive cell balancing for various chemistries.
• Develop CAN and CANopen communication firmware for pack‑to‑host telemetry and commands.
• Support board bring‑up: verify rails, sequencing, and electronics‑firmware integration.
• Write and maintain unit tests and on‑target tests for nominal and fault paths.
• Instrument and debug firmware on real hardware using SWD/JTAG, logic analyzers, and scopes.
• Ensure design descriptions, interface specs, and test procedures exist for your code.
• Participate in code reviews and share knowledge.
