Job summary

Brex, the intelligent finance platform, seeks a seasoned in-house counsel to join our San Francisco team. You’ll partner with engineering, product, and design to shape compliant spend management software in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Based in a hybrid office with flexible remote weeks, you’ll advise on credit, lending, data privacy, and card network regulations, draft customer agreements, and help navigate AI and automation implications across Brex's products.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor and bar admission in at least one jurisdiction.
• 4+ years in law firms and tech/fintech on credit and regulatory matters.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ownership mindset and ability to work cross-functionally.
• Experience advising on AI, automation, and data privacy a plus.

Responsibilities

• Embed with engineering, product, and design to translate requirements into practical product decisions.
• Advise on regulatory and commercial issues across software and fintech products.
• Provide actionable guidance on data privacy, contracts, and disclosures.
• Support cross-functional partners on credit, lending, and card network questions.
• Draft and maintain customer agreements and disclosures.
