Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Electrical Engineer in Middletown, RI to support U.S. Navy submarine systems with hands-on electronics, circuit cards, embedded hardware, and troubleshooting.

This role emphasizes lab work, diagnosing hardware, and problem solving in lab and field settings. You will collaborate with a team of engineers and technicians, perform tests with oscilloscopes and meters, develop schematics, and contribute to fleet sustainment and modernization efforts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
  • Strong fundamentals in circuit theory, electronics, and hardware design.
  • Experience with circuit card assemblies and embedded hardware.
  • Ability to read and develop electrical schematics.
  • Experience with lab measurement tools (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power meters).
  • Ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance.
  • Strong teamwork and independent learning ability.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot circuit card assemblies for radar, imaging, and EW systems.
  • Develop and update electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Perform performance analysis of antenna equipment and DSP functions.
  • Plan and execute detailed test procedures to validate hardware.
  • Travel to Navy bases for on-site support (approx. 10%).
  • Collaborate with engineers and technicians in a team environment.
