Job summary

ORBIS is seeking a Mid-Senior Electrical Engineer in Connecticut with 5–10 years of experience to contribute to submarine and surface ship electronics design and testing. You will generate schematics, Gerber files, BOM estimates, and assist with inspections and logistics support.

The role involves collaborating with CAD and vendor teams, reviewing design drawings, and developing test procedures and reports for complex maritime systems.

Qualifications

• BSEE degree required.
• US citizen required.
• Secret security clearance required.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical engineering calculations for shipboard systems.
• Design, fabricate, inspect submarine and surface ship electronics.
• Generate test procedures and write test reports.
• Create system assessment papers and logistics support products.
• Review drawings with CAD; generate schematics and Gerber files.
• Prepare ROM material estimates; source components and quotes.
• Breadboard light PWB, cables fabrication and test box development.
• Collaborate with vendors and the CAD team.
