Job summary

INFICON in Longmont, CO, seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer - Embedded to drive hardware and firmware development for current and new product lines. You will work with US and international teams to move concepts through development to launch.

The role requires a BS/MS in Electrical Engineering and 4+ years of product development experience, with C/C++ for embedded systems, and familiarity with RTOS and OrCad tools. Travel 1–2 times per year is expected.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• 4+ years of product & technology development experience
• Firmware/Software/Hardware design (Ecad) and schematic capture
• C/C++ for embedded systems; RTOS experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Understand current technologies and product lines; partner with Sales/Marketing to grasp customer needs
• Develop new/variant products including hardware and firmware; work with cross-functional teams
• Serve as Project Engineer to ensure all launch activities meet the project schedule
• Prepare technical documentation, test plans, and design documentation for production and vendors
• Collaborate with Customer Service to identify root causes and implement solutions
• Work with Purchasing to source best vendors and maintain supplier relationships
