Job summary

The KYO Group is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support embedded controls development for Thermo Fisher Scientific's lab cold-storage and ultra-low temperature product portfolio. This role is suitable for an early-career engineer with hands-on embedded hardware and firmware experience.

You will design embedded control electronics, develop schematics and bills of materials, and collaborate with mechanical and refrigeration teams while ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 0-2+ years of relevant embedded-controls or electronic-product-development experience.
• Experience with analog and digital circuit design.
• C/C++ programming experience.
• Familiarity with microcontrollers and embedded hardware.
• Experience with prototyping and hardware testing.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Design embedded control electronics and PCB assemblies.
• Develop schematics, design analysis, bills of materials, and engineering documentation.
• Develop embedded firmware and controller software.
• Support C/C++-based embedded development.
• Develop HMI functionality using embedded software frameworks.
• Develop qualification and performance-test methods.
• Conduct prototype testing and analyze engineering test results.
• Support analog, digital, mixed-signal, and high-speed circuit development.
• Collaborate with mechanical and refrigeration engineering teams.
• Participate in FMEA, Design for Manufacturing, and Design for Test activities.
• Work with contract manufacturers.
• Maintain requirements and design documentation.
• Support compliance with UL, IEC, FDA, and similar product requirements.
