Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field; Mechanical Engineering is highly preferred.
• Embedded C software experience is required; MATLAB SIMULINK experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain calibration and validation functions in new programs, including release review.
• Develop and maintain data links and actuators for genset features.
• Oversee engine protection functions and testing on bench, test cell, and remote monitoring setups.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with clear communication for project success.

We have a position for an experienced embedded software engineer to calibrate and validate genset features.

What you will be doing:

• Responsible to own and maintain the following functions in new programs. This shall include calibration, validation and review for release. This could also include INSITE tool integrator support as needed.
• Datalinks
• Actuators
• Engine Protection functions
• This role would also involve testing on open/closed loop bench, Test cell and remote monitoring of a test cell.
• This role involves cross functional work, so clarity in communication is a necessity.

The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in the following areas:

• Electronics OR controls background
• Embedded C Software development
• Matlab Simulink development and Simulink simulation
• Datalinks
• Object-oriented design and real-time embedded software
• Critical thinking
• Good communicator - written and verbal

What you'll need to be successful:

• College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other relevant technical disciplines. Mechanical Engineering degree HIGHLY preferred as well as 2 or more years of hands-on experience.
• Fundamental understanding of the internal combustion engines
• Embedded C Software experience is required
• Matlab SIMULINK experience is desired
• Experience in communicating and presenting technical content with external customers preferred.
• PTC Integrity/Windchill RV&S experience is highly desired
