Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking a Software Engineer II to join our development team on a hybrid schedule. You will contribute to the design, development, and deployment of software solutions that meet customer needs and safety standards.

You will participate in the full software lifecycle, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and help document software and user manuals while implementing Linux-based services for porting applications, all within aerospace DO-178B guidelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in software development (including internships and project work).
• Strong understanding of programming languages such as Embedded C++.
• Experience with software development tools and version control systems.
• Familiarity with software development methodologies.
• Understanding of the operating system concepts.
• Familiarity with the build and debug tool chains.
• Willingness to solve the real time challenges pertaining to concurrent execution of processes in a multicore environment.
• Experience in developing applications for embedded systems for Aero products.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with Linux scheduling algorithms.
• Familiarity with the OS synchronization services.
• Experience in designing software for multicore environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Passion for technology and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, and deployment in compliance with DO-178B guidelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Contribute to the development of software documentation and user manuals.
• Implement services on the Linux platform to port the application.
