Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace US LLC in Clearwater, FL is seeking a Software Engineer I to design, implement, and test software for critical aerospace systems. You will report to the Software Engineering Manager and work from a hybrid Clearwater location after a 90‑day onboarding period.

Responsibilities include translating system requirements into software specifications, collaborating with cross‑functional teams, and ensuring documentation and release notes are maintained.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (CS/CE or related).
• 0-1 year of hands-on software development experience.
• Proficiency with SVN or Git toolchains.

Responsibilities

• Assist design, implementation, and testing of software components for aerospace systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into software specs.
• Work with avionics interfaces (ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553, UART, RS-422).
• Develop software documentation and release notes for maintainability.
• Write clean, maintainable code in C++ and C# using Visual Studio.
