Wayve in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking an Engineering Manager for OS to lead a dedicated team. You will own delivery, engagement, resourcing, roadmap, and performance, while coaching and growing team members and owning hiring decisions.

You’ll set technical direction, ensure robust CI/HIL, and guide the OS foundations across design, deployment, and testing. You’ll collaborate with hardware partners and vehicle software teams on platform bring-ups.

Qualifications

• Engineering management experience is essential.
• Delivery through a team: owning a team roadmap and shipping through others.
• Technical credibility with embedded software for real customers.
• OS fundamentals: Linux kernel, device trees, BSPs, build/packaging, OTA and SIL/HIL testing.
• Peripheral drivers experience with high-speed devices; fault tolerance a plus.
• Leadership: cross-functional direction and managing diverse teams across time zones.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the OS team as the first priority, with coaching and performance management.
• Hire and onboard the right people to form a high-performing team.
• Drive execution by aligning roadmaps with resources and ensuring quality and reliability.
• Set technical direction and own the team's technology-roadmap milestones.
• Own the OS foundations across design, implementation, testing, deployment and monitoring.
• Bring up new hardware platforms and collaborate with hardware partners on board bring-ups.
• Collaborate with Vehicle Software, model, hardware and OEM teams; manage risks.
