Job summary

MSA, The Safety Company in Cranberry Township, PA is seeking a Software Test Engineer to join the Verification and Validation team. You will focus on automation development across embedded testing, validation, and system-level work while collaborating with developers and quality engineers to ensure our products meet rigorous safety standards.

The role supports testing across the SDLC, requires strong Python scripting, and experience with CI tools.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Experience supporting embedded product development.
• Strong Python scripting skills for automation.
• Experience creating test cases, harnesses, and scripts.
• Experience building test automation for embedded environments.
• Familiar with testing methodologies: Unit/Integration/Regression/System/Performance.
• Proficient with version control and collaboration tools.
• Experience with CI tools and software quality metrics.
• Passion for software quality and continuous improvement.
• Strong communication skills in a global team.

Responsibilities

• Work with developers and stakeholders to ensure quality requirements are met.
• Develop automation tools for embedded software testing and create test suites.
• Improve and maintain test automation systems and scripts.
• Participate in automated and manual testing as needed.
• Identify, track, and help debug software issues with the team.
• Collect quality metrics and report test results to drive improvements.
• Travel up to 10% domestically or internationally.
