Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer, Anti-Tamper, to design and verify tamper-resistant embedded software for security-critical defense systems in Costa Mesa, CA.

The role focuses on boot/run-time anti-tamper, cryptographic controls, and deep hardware/software integration with SoCs, FPGAs, and related components. Candidates should have experience with secure design and a current U.S. security clearance.

Qualifications

• Experience with safety and security-critical embedded software and/or firmware engineering.
• Understanding and application of cryptography.
• Experience with embedded platforms that may include SoCs, FPGAs, and hardware security-relevant components.
• Experience in one or more of the following languages: C/C++, Rust.
• Current U.S. Secret or Top Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop software and firmware for security-sensitive systems on embedded platforms.
• Implement boot and run-time Anti-Tamper functionality.
• Apply cryptographic mechanisms for authentication, encryption, integrity, and key handling.
• Support board bring-up, hardware-software integration, and low-level debugging across boot, initialization, peripheral interfaces, and device communication.
• Work with Hardware, FPGA, Systems, and Security engineers to integrate trusted platform features across SoCs, FPGA-based devices, and related components.
• Design, document, implement, and validate security-critical features.
