Job summary

VAST Data is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to embed with strategic customer environments. You will own the technical success of deployments from design through production, working with customer architects and operators to scale infrastructure and translate real-world requirements into core product improvements.

You will write code, create automation, and advocate for customers to shape the roadmap, collaborating with global teams on fixes, tests, and new builds.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a highly technical engineering role with customer-facing work.
• Proven ability to communicate complex distributed systems to executives.
• Strong organization and self-direction managing customer expectations.
• Curiosity and ability to rapidly learn new technologies.
• Experience solving complex infrastructure problems at scale.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with global engineering teams to track fixes and test builds.
• Co-engineer solutions with customer technical teams to optimize throughput.
• Translate customer requirements into actionable product improvements.
