Job summary

SCAN seeks a Forward Deployed AI Engineer to embed with teams, understand workflows, and rapidly design, build, and deploy AI-enabled solutions that improve outcomes for members and staff. You will partner with leaders, product owners, and engineers to translate business needs into production systems.

The role emphasizes responsible AI, governance, and scablable architectures, with opportunities to impact case management, member questions, and enterprise operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in CS, Engineering, or related field
• Deep understanding of LLM-based architectures, RAG, embeddings, prompt engineering, agent orchestration
• Experience designing, building, deploying AI-enabled apps, services, workflows, integrations
• Proficiency with Azure AI Services, Azure AI Foundry, and enterprise content platforms
• Strong Python, REST APIs, ML/LLMOps tooling, and frameworks (FastAPI, LangChain)

Responsibilities

• Embed with SCAN teams to map workflows and priorities; define measurable success criteria
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI-enabled applications
• Provide technical leadership and reusable components
• Establish metrics and monitor business impact post-deployment
• Ensure Responsible AI practices and governance with security teams
