Job summary

Shadin Avionics in Eden Prairie, MN, is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design embedded hardware for aerospace products. You will take designs from requirements through schematic design, verification, qualification, and production support, contributing to high-reliability, FAA-regulated projects.

Responsibilities include defining hardware architecture, selecting components, performing reliability tests, and developing test procedures. On-site work with cross-functional teams is required.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of circuit design experience on embedded systems.
• Hands-on experience with microcontroller-based hardware and analog/digital circuit design.
• Strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and clear technical documentation.
• Able to work independently, manage projects and schedule, with sound engineering judgment.
• Comfortable working across departments in a highly regulated environment.
• Must be a U.S. Person per ITAR restrictions.

Responsibilities

• Design embedded electronics for aerospace products, including microcontroller-based circuits and interfaces.
• Define hardware architecture from customer and system requirements.
• Select and derate components for high-reliability products in severe environments.
• Perform reliability analysis and coordinate tests.
• Design built-in-test and fault monitoring for control system inputs/outputs.
• Write or support test software and custom test equipment for design verification.
