Job summary

Travelers Insurance is hiring for a Cybersecurity Ops Technologist I to own day‑to‑day administration and optimization of Proofpoint within a hybrid Microsoft 365/on‑premises Exchange environment. You will protect a 50,000+ mailbox ecosystem through expert configuration of TAP, TRAP, and email security controls.

You will lead DKIM/SPF/DMARC strategy, collaborate with SOC on automated response playbooks, and evaluate complementary tools like M365 Defender to strengthen defense‑in‑depth.

Qualifications

• Degree or Certificate in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2+ years in technology field or role.
• Hands-on admin experience with Proofpoint (TAP/TRAP/Email Security).
• Experience in secure email gateway architecture and policy management at scale.

Responsibilities

• Administer and optimize Proofpoint deployment for a hybrid M365/on‑prem environment.
• Configure and maintain mail flow policies and quarantine strategies.
• Own DKIM, SPF, and DMARC strategy end‑to‑end and troubleshoot authentication failures.
• Analyze threat intelligence and tune TAP telemetry for phishing and malware campaigns.
• Collaborate with SOC to build automated response playbooks for email threats.
• Communicate risk insights to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
