Job summary

Apple Inc. is seeking an early to mid-career engineer to advance EM/SEB/thermal analysis methods for gate- and transistor-level designs in our CAD group.

You will join a team building robust flows and verification scripts, and collaborate with Physical Design, Timing, Circuit Design, and Power teams in a fast-paced environment. You will gain hands-on experience with industry tools (Voltus, RedHawk, Primetime, ICC2, Innovus) while improving CAD methodologies and automation.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required.
• Strong background in VLSI, semiconductor physics, circuit theory, or computer engineering.
• Experience with EM/SEB/thermal analysis concepts and CAD flows desirable.
• Proficiency in Tcl, Python, or Perl scripting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development, testing, and deployment of EM/SEB/thermal analysis methodologies.
• Support automation, maintenance, and regression testing of CAD flows from setup through sign-off.
• Run, validate, and debug simulation and verification runs on benchmark and production designs.
• Develop and maintain verification scripts and checks for clock trees and high-speed nets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to triage flow execution issues and gather data.
