UPMC is seeking an innovative and energetic Program Director to lead the Emergency Medicine Residency program within the University of Pittsburgh Physicians Department of Emergency Medicine. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching, research, collaboration, and engaging in rewarding clinical work.

The Program Director will oversee curriculum development and the educational environment, ensuring residents are prepared for independent practice, scholarship, and leadership in emergency

Qualifications

Board-certified in Emergency Medicine.
Minimum of three years leading a residency program.

Responsibilities

Lead EM residency program ensuring quality, outcomes, and compliance with ACGME standards.
Oversee curriculum development and the educational environment to prepare residents for independent practice, scholarship, and leadership in emergency medicine.
Lead the team that helps accomplish these important aspects across a multi-site training environment.
Recruit and support outstanding residents while fostering professional identity formation, mentorship, and career development.
Advance the departmental mission through teaching, scholarship, faculty development, and high-quality clinical care.
