Job summary

Santee School District PRIDE ACADEMY AT PROSPECT AVENUE is seeking an Expanded Learning Program Assistant Site Leader to help run after-school programs for PreK–8 students. The role focuses on safe, engaging enrichment and daily operations under the ELP framework.

Responsibilities include supervising facilities, administering basic medical aid, coordinating activities, and documenting program records to ensure smooth site operations and positive student outcomes.

Qualifications

• Completion of high school or equivalent; one year supervising youth preferred.
• District Paraprofessional Proficiency Exam certification mandated by the State of California for Instructional Assistants (AA degree / 48 units / proficiency test).
• YALE Preschool requirements: twelve semester units in early childhood education and related permits.
• Continuing education: 25 hours of professional development per academic year.
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist ELP Site Lead with implementing a quality program aligned with the District Program Plan.
• Supervise facilities and areas to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment.
• Administer medication and basic first aid/CPR/AED to students.
• Organize and implement engaging learning and enrichment activities aligned with the District Program Plan.
• Maintain program records and communicate with parents and staff regarding students.
