Tindley Summit Academy seeks an ELL Coordinator to oversee WIDA testing, advocate for ELL needs, and support district and school implementation of ELL programs. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with state and federal mandates, data-driven instruction, and staff development.

The position emphasizes collaboration with administrators and teachers, using data to improve instruction and promote high expectations for all students in a supportive, inclusive learning environment.

Formación

• Valid Indiana Educator's Professional License.
• Minimum of three years in a successful classroom experience.
• Knowledge of WIDA standards and applying them to instruction.
• Experience in inclusion and/or co-teaching environments.
• Evidence of student growth and achievement.
• Experience facilitating adult learning.
• Ability to develop cooperative relationships with administrators, teachers, and staff.
• Ability to use data to improve instruction.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate and administer state testing (WIDA) for ELL program.
• Advocate for ELL needs with teachers and leaders.
• Assist district and school administrators in ELL implementation.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal mandates for ELL students.
• Provide updates to network team and principals on ELL data; provide PD to staff.
• Coach teachers in effective instructional strategies across content areas.
• Promote high expectations and expanded opportunities for all students.
• Assist in procuring and distributing intervention materials.
• Stay current on trends and developments related to English learners.
