Job summary

Indianapolis Public Schools seeks an ENL Coordinator to advance the district’s English learner program, working with Teaching and Learning, Unified Student Services, and postsecondary partners to ensure equity and high achievement for multilingual students.

You will lead curriculum development, ENL professional development, and coaching, with a focus on college and career readiness and standards-aligned instruction across secondary levels.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree preferred, not required.
• Valid Indiana Teacher's license and Building Administrator License preferred.
• Must be deemed Highly Qualified per Indiana DOE.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of successful classroom teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Build strong collaborative relationships with Teaching and Learning Members and administrators.
• Ensure instruction aligns with curricula demands and state standards.
• Develop staff knowledge through professional development on improving outcomes for English learners.
• Conduct high-quality one-on-ones with ENL specialists.
• Develop ENL Specialists and manage their evaluations.
• Collaborate with College and Career Readiness Coordinators on graduation and post-secondary readiness.
• Other duties as assigned.
