Qualifications

• Must possess or be willing to acquire the skills necessary to support needs associated English language learners.
• Experience working with children preferred.
• Bilingual in English/Portuguese/Spanish preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Work with individual students or small groups under the supervision of a certified teacher to reinforce learning.
• Assist in devising learning experiences based on language development levels.
• May work in a specific classroom or across classrooms as needed.
• Serve as a primary source of information for substitutes and support staff.
• Utilize ELL strategies and maintain confidentiality of student information.
• Participate in professional development as required.
• Assist with documentation related to ELL students as needed.
• Help students master concepts and vocabulary in the target language.
