Momentum Academy is seeking a Multilingual Languages Learner (ELL) Teacher to support K-8 scholars with language development. The teacher will adapt lessons, coordinate with general education and special education staff, and ensure appropriate accommodations for diverse learners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience with scholars and families in urban communities a plus.
• Missouri Teaching Certification preferred (TESOL).
• Strong organization, planning, and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive, structured learning environment focused on academics and character growth.
• Plan and implement instruction and lesson plans.
• Prepare scholars for exams.
• Inspire after-school music clubs and activities.
• Build relationships and mentor scholars.
• Evaluate scholar progress with regular assessments.
• Hold scholars accountable to school-wide behavioral expectations.
• Recognize and celebrate scholar achievement and character development.
• Build rapport with scholars, parents, and families.
• Pursue professional development opportunities.
• Participate in faculty meetings and events.
• Assist with scholar recruitment as needed.
