Job summary

Athol-Royalston Regional School District in Athol, Massachusetts seeks an EL/ML teacher to help students develop English language skills so they access grade-level content, thrive socially, and fully participate in the school community.

The EL/ML teacher will collaborate with staff district-wide to determine focus areas and meet the needs of EL/ML students, providing differentiated instruction, assessing progress, and communicating regularly with families.

Qualifications

• MA DESE licensure or ability for a waiver.
• CORI and fingerprinting requirements.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality and differentiated instruction to students according to standards.
• Create a safe and purposeful learning environment.
• Collaborate with teachers and leaders to meet needs in inclusion, co-teaching or pull-out models.
• Assess students, analyze data, and determine instructional decisions including ACCESS/WIDA testing.
• Communicate with families to share progress and input.
• Participate in regular professional development opportunities.
• Duties and responsibilities as directed by the Building Principal and Director of Pupil Services.
