Qualifications

• 5+ лет профессиональной разработки бэкенда или full-stack, включая 3+ года на Elixir/Phoenix.
• Сильное владение OTP и BEAM, включая процессы и надзоры.
• Практический опыт создания интерактивных UI с Phoenix LiveView, компонентами, стримами и JS хуками.
• Deep Ecto и PostgreSQL: проектирование схем, запросы, индексация, миграции.

Responsibilities

• Разрабатывать продакшн Phoenix приложения, REST API, LiveView UI и реальные функции с использованием PubSub/Channels; работать с Ecto и PostgreSQL, писать быстрые запросы и безопасные миграции.
• Строить отказоустойчивые системы на OTP, включая supervision деревья и GenServers.
• Управлять фоновыми задачами через Oban, обеспечивать телеметрию и метрики.
• Разрабатывать безопасный код: аутентификация, авторизация, минимальные привилегии и валидация входных данных.
• Развертывать и эксплуатировать сервисы на Kubernetes/GCP, участвовать в CI/CD и обеспечении качества релизов.
• Наставлять инженеров и участвовать в техлиде через code reviews и дизайн-сессии.
• Документировать решения и эффективно работать в удаленной, асинхронной среде.

Hack The Box builds a platform that trains the world's cyber workforce and aims to raise cyber resilience so organizations can stay ahead of emerging threats.

• Design and build production Phoenix applications, including REST APIs, LiveView UIs, and real-time features using PubSub and Channels Model and evolve data with Ecto and PostgreSQL, writing performant queries and safe, zero-downtime migrations
• Build fault-tolerant systems with OTP, including supervision trees, GenServers, and distributed BEAM patterns
• Own background processing and scheduled workloads with Oban, with observability through Telemetry and metrics
• Ship secure-by-default code, including authentication and authorization patterns, least-privilege data access, and input hardening
• Deploy and operate services on Kubernetes/GCP, contributing to CI/CD pipelines and release quality
• Mentor engineers and contribute to technical leadership through code reviews, design sessions, and coding standards
• Document decisions and communicate clearly in a remote-first environment, contributing to thoughtful async collaboration

Требования

• 5+ Years of professional backend or full-stack development, including 3+ years shipping production Elixir/Phoenix
• Strong grasp of OTP and the BEAM, including processes, supervision, GenServer/GenStage, and when not to use them
• Hands-on experience building interactive UIs with Phoenix LiveView, including components, streams, and JS hooks
• Deep Ecto and PostgreSQL knowledge, including schema design, query optimization, indexing, and migrations
• Experience with background job systems and event-driven architectures
• Solid testing discipline with ExUnit; comfortable with property-based and integration testing
• Familiarity with containerized deployment and CI/CD best practices
• Security-minded engineering, including OWASP fundamentals, auth patterns, and secure handling of user data
• Excellent written and verbal communication, especially in remote/async environments, and a bias toward documenting architecture and decisions
