Job summary

Monarch Mountain is seeking a Competition Coach to guide intermediate to advanced skiers and snowboarders aged 7–18 through Intro to Competition and Competition programs. You will coach guests, refine techniques, and contribute to a high-energy, on-mountain environment.

You will work with the Monarch team, attend events, and help maintain top-quality guest experiences while advancing your coaching skills throughout the season.

Qualifications

• Legal citizen of the United States or possess other proper work permit authentication.
• High School Diploma or GED required, college degree preferred.
• Background check required.
• A valid Driver's License with a good driving record is required.
• IFSA and L100 Certification preferred.
• Ski/Ride at an advanced level.

Responsibilities

• Work with other Monarch team members and departments.
• Coach guests in skiing/snowboarding competition using PSIA/AASI/IFSA methods.
• Develop skiing/boarding and coaching skills throughout the season.
• Attend and coach at competitions on hill, set up, sign, time, officiate as needed.
• Mentor/coach peers as assigned.
• Perform snow removal as necessary.
• Follow procedures and maintain guest safety and satisfaction.
