Petco seeks a Credentialed Veterinary Technician to deliver high-quality care at our Vetco Total Care hospital partners. You will assist doctors, manage patient records, and educate clients while upholding Petco’s care standards.

Competenze

• College or college-equivalent education completed to meet state Credentialed Veterinary Technician requirements.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Veterinary Technician or in a veterinary practice.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Compassionate, team player with professional demeanor during stressful situations.
• Strong telephone and computer skills for client communication and record-keeping.

Mansioni

• Greet clients and patients, obtain vitals, and document in EMR.
• Assist veterinarians with appointments, surgery, dentistry, and euthanasia under supervision.
• Perform patient restraint, collect samples, dispense medications as directed, and maintain records.
• Schedule, educate clients, relay test results, manage inventory and client records.
• Prepare patients for procedures, monitor anesthesia, and discharge/transfer as needed.
• Provide in-hospital treatments, ensure patient comfort, and assist with care tasks.
• Train new staff and share knowledge; keep hospital clean and organized.
