Job summary

Summit Management Consulting, LLC is seeking a Varsity Boys Powerlifting Coach for Landmark Academy Kimball, Michigan, for the 2026-27 school year. You will lead the varsity powerlifting program, develop a progressive strength and conditioning plan, and work with the Athletic Director and school staff to align with educational goals.

The role requires knowledge of lifting techniques, safety coaching, and the ability to tailor programs to age and ability levels while maintaining student

Qualifications

• Knowledge of strength training, conditioning, and athletic development principles.
• Knowledge of proper squat, bench press, deadlift, spotting, and lifting techniques.
• Ability to teach and reinforce safe lifting mechanics and appropriate training progression.
• Ability to recognize unsafe lifting practices, overexertion, fatigue, and potential injury concerns.
• Ability to develop age-appropriate and ability-appropriate training programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and direction for the varsity powerlifting program.
• Develop and implement a program philosophy consistent with the school's educational and athletic goals
• Plan, organize, and conduct safe, effective, and appropriately structured practices and training sessions
• Develop a progressive varsity strength and conditioning program appropriate for high school student-athletes
• Teach proper techniques for the squat, bench press, deadlift, and other approved strength-training exercises
• Teach proper warm-up, mobility, conditioning, lifting, spotting, equipment use, recovery, and injury-prevention techniques
• Develop individualized and team-based training plans based on student-athletes' age, experience, ability, physical development, training history, and goals
