Summit Management Consulting, LLC is seeking a Varsity Boys Basketball Coach for Landmark Academy Kimball, Michigan. This extracurricular/seasonal role reports to the Athletic Director and aligns with the 2026-27 school year objectives.

The coach will plan practices, develop players, and promote sportsmanship while ensuring adherence to all school, MHSAA, league, and state guidelines. A strong emphasis on safety and positive student growth is required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basketball fundamentals, rules, strategies, and coaching techniques.
• Ability to develop and implement effective practice and game plans.
• Ability to effectively instruct, motivate, evaluate, and supervise student-athletes.
• Ability to communicate clearly with students, families, staff, officials, and administrators.
• Ability to establish and maintain appropriate professional boundaries with students.
• Ability to work effectively as part of an athletic department and school team.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of student and school information.
• Ability to respond appropriately to routine and emergency situations.
• Ability to successfully complete all required MHSAA and CAP requirements.

Responsabilités

• Plan, organize, and conduct effective basketball practices appropriate for varsity level
• Develop individual and team skills, strategies, conditioning, and game preparation
• Establish team goals and expectations consistent with the school's educational and athletic mission
• Prepare student-athletes for scheduled games, tournaments, and competitions
• Supervise student-athletes before, during, and after practices, games, tournaments, and other team activities.
• Maintain a safe, positive, inclusive, and respectful athletic environment.
• Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, accountability, discipline, respect, and appropriate conduct.
• Establish and communicate team rules, expectations, schedules, and procedures.
