Job summary

Mt. Spokane High School seeks a Varsity Head Cheerleading Coach for the 2026-2027 season to provide knowledge, motivation, and leadership, guiding student-athletes to excel while supporting the school's educational mission.

The coach will plan practices from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., supervise during events, promote the interscholastic program, ensure safety, and collaborate with the athletic department to maintain high standards of sportsmanship and eligibility.

Qualifications

• Must be 19 or older for Assistant Coach and 21 or older for Head Coach.
• Must have current First Aid/CPR certification or be able to acquire it by the start of the season.
• Type II Driver’s License is preferred.
• Understand the activity/sport, its safety practices, techniques, rules, and progression of skill development.

Responsibilities

• Instruct athletes regarding the techniques, rules, and safety practices of the sport.
• Develops and organizes a practice program. Schedule and conduct practices according to agreed-upon schedules.
