Job summary

YMCA of South Florida seeks a Head Swim Team Coach to lead the day-to-day operations of the competitive aquatics program at the assigned site in Fort Lauderdale. You will manage coaching staff, develop training plans, oversee budget and billing, and serve as the primary team contact for parents and swimmers.

The role requires strong swimming knowledge, 2+ years of head coaching experience, and YMCA/US Swimming certifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong understanding of swimming rules and safety.
• 2+ years of head age group coaching or similar experience.
• Ability to manage staff, communicate with parents, and follow directives.

Responsibilities

• Direct and develop on-site coaching staff and deck support.
• Design seasonal training plans for Short Course and Long Course.
• Oversee budget, billing, and payments for the swim program.
• Act as primary site contact for parents, swimmers, and staff.
• Coordinate meets, events, and communications with the Aquatics Director.
