GENERAL SUMMARY & SCOPE

The Elite Stylist engages with guests, consulting on their hair care needs and recommending products and services. They deliver quality professional services focused on the guest’s overall look, supporting the Experience Manager (EM) and Assistant Services Manager (ASM). The role emphasizes performance (sales and productivity), guest service, and adherence to operating procedures and standards. A passion for beauty, exceptional guest service, and product knowledge communication skills are essential.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Performance

• Performing hair services including design, cuts, color, treatments, styling, updos, perms, blowouts, keratin treatments, extensions, makeup, and ear piercing (where applicable).
• Achieving or exceeding a weekly sales goal of $1900 through excellent guest service and contributing to store sales and loyalty metrics.
• Demonstrating products to enhance sales and guest experience.
• Supporting in-store events and marketing initiatives.
• Staying informed about industry trends, products, and ingredients to better serve guests.
• Maintaining consistent attendance.

People

• Building guest relationships through consultations and recommendations.
• Serving all guests efficiently, including walk-ins.
• Collaborating with skin therapists and retail teams for a comprehensive guest experience.
• Fostering professional relationships with peers and brand partners.
• Promoting the guest loyalty program and app benefits.
• Attending mandatory training and meetings for professional development.

• Ensuring compliance with company policies and safety standards.
• Following sanitation and infection control procedures.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• Cosmetology license.

Experience

• Relevant prior work experience.

Skills

• Proficiency in salon techniques including haircutting, coloring, styling, treatments, extensions, makeup, and ear piercing (as applicable).
• Competence with salon equipment and chemicals.
• Ability to demonstrate and sell hair care and makeup products.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Building and maintaining customer relationships and clientele.

SPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Continuous mobility and standing for long periods.
