Job summary

Allied Universal in Midland, TX is seeking a part‑time Security Officer – Enhanced to provide flexible scheduling and reliable coverage at a shopping center.

You will perform armed patrols, respond to incidents, monitor access points, and deliver customer service while following site policies and safety procedures.

A Level III Armed Certification in Texas, a valid driver's license, and at least 21 years old are required; a background check and drug screen will be conducted.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or 5+ years of armed security experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and store personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout retail sales areas, receiving and loading areas, parking lots, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain required armed post equipment and complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

As a Elite Security Officer Part Time Shopping Center in Midland, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $25.00 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTimeMon05:45 PM - 11:30 PMFri12:00 PM - 11:30 PMSat12:00 PM - 11:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or 5 or more years of armed security‑related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
