Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and disturbances with reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct armed patrols in retail areas, stockrooms, parking lots and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and report unusual site activity.
• Maintain incident reports and patrol logs according to procedures.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Response Patrol Driver in Odessa, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $25.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue 09:30 AM - 04:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout retail sales areas, stockrooms, loading areas, parking lots, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe site activity for unusual conditions, reporting security‑related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain required documentation, including incident reports, patrol logs, and daily activity records, in accordance with Allied Universal and site‑specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or 5+ years of armed security experience.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
