• Locates and interviews victims, witnesses, and suspects.

• Determines investigative techniques; gathers, evaluates, preserves evidence; prepares diagrams and charts.
• Prepares affidavits for arrest warrants, search warrants, subpoenas; handles civil documents as needed.
• Delivers testimony in the Grand Jury and in court as an advisory witness.
• Organizes case strategies with other law enforcement staff and city agencies.
• Other duties, as assigned.
