Job summary

The City of Washington, NC, seeks a Paramedic to perform life support, stabilization, and emergency medical care on a 24-hour shift within the Fire/Rescue/EMS Department. You will provide Paramedic-level care at scenes, prepare apparatus and equipment, and participate in public education and training as required.

Responsibilities include performing advanced life support, documenting patient care, driving EMS apparatus, performing maintenance, and coordinating with hospital staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; Paramedic certification required.
• NC Paramedic license or National Registered Paramedic.
• Ability to perform BLS/ALS procedures in emergency settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide Paramedic-level emergency medical care on 24-hour shift.
• Drive/operate EMS vehicles and respond to scenes.
• Complete accurate patient care reports for hospital EDs.
• Maintain apparatus and EMS equipment; oversee inventory.
