Job summary

Ascend Aesthetic Partners invites applications for a full-time Surgical Scrub Tech, First Assist in Greenville, SC. The role supports the surgeon with intraoperative tasks, prepares equipment, and ensures patient safety through meticulous technique and communication.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Associate degree or postsecondary certificate in surgical technology.
• Completion of a CAAHEP/ARC-STSA accredited Surgical First Assistant program.
• NBSTSA CST and/or CSFA certification preferred.
• Hands-on experience in surgical technology settings.

Responsibilities

• Communicate surgeon preferences and patient needs to the surgical team.
• Position patient for exposure per procedure and surgeon preference.
• Provide intraoperative skills: visualization, trocar insertion, local anesthetics, hemostasis, wound closure.
• Utilize open, laparoscopic, and robotic equipment as required.
• Perform clamping, cauterizing, suturing, and tissue handling as needed.
• Close incisions using surgeon-preferred suturing techniques.
• Provide postoperative care: dressings, patient transfer, monitoring for complications.
• Collaborate with team to ensure continuity of care.
