Lees-McRae College in Banner Elk, NC, seeks an Assistant Men’s & Women’s Tennis Coach to support an elite NCAA Division II program. You will assist with recruitment, on-court practice planning, and student-athlete development, while ensuring academic progress and compliance with NCAA, Conference Carolinas, and Title IX.

This full-time, 12-month position requires strong communication, budget management, and the ability to manage summer camps and clinics, with opportunities to influence

Qualifications

• Three to five years of coaching at the college level or extensive high school coaching experience.
• Experience with budget development and management.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable with a student-centered approach and strong customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist with overall management of the Tennis program, establishing and adhering to policies, procedures, regulations, and guidelines in compliance with applicable laws.
• Recruit elite-level prospective student-athletes and monitor academic progress with action plans.
• Plan coaching and practice sessions in line with NCAA and Conference Carolinas regulations.
• Oversee communication with recruits, player evaluations, official visits, and try-outs.
• Conduct training, development, and supervision for team members.
• Promote the athletic program and Tennis through community events, fundraising, and marketing.
• Direct summer Tennis camps and ID camps throughout the year.
• Manage all operational, fiscal, and administrative activities for the Men’s Tennis program.
