Berry College in Mount Berry, Georgia, is seeking an Assistant Men’s & Women’s Tennis Coach to support the NCAA Division III program. Reporting to the Head Coach, you will help organize, supervise, and administer all aspects of the tennis program in line with liberal arts education and Division III rules.

Assistant Men’s & Women’s Tennis Coach College in Mount Berry, Georgia is looking for an Assistant Men’s & Women’s Tennis Coach.

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Head Men’s & Women’s Tennis Coach, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Head Coach with the organization, supervision, and administration of an NCAA Division III intercollegiate tennis program.

The candidate will also demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to a liberal arts education, Division III athletics, and an appreciation for and commitment to all NCAA, Southern Athletic Association (SAA), and institutional rules and regulations. The candidates should also possess good communication skills, strong leadership and mentoring abilities, and the ability to create a culture that is both disciplined and caring.

Other duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• recruitment of academically and athletically qualified student-athletes
• budget management
• practice and game preparation/management
• scheduling
• compliance
• public relations
• alumni communication
• student work supervision
• fundraising
• equipment management
• a commitment to the student-athlete’s academic progress and degree completion.

Along with coaching responsibilities, the candidates will be assigned additional responsibilities dependent on the successful candidates’ skill set and experiences.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred.

Previous coaching and/or playing experience at the collegiate level is preferred.
