Job summary

Boyne Mountain Resort in Michigan is seeking a skilled Ski Patroller to safeguard guests and respond to emergencies on the slopes. You will assess hazards, provide first aid, and coordinate with resort teams to maintain safety.

The role emphasizes calm, professional service and adherence to the LEADS values while guiding guests and fellow patrollers through daily operations and peak season challenges.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years or older and an advanced or expert skier.
Current EMT or OEC certification and CPR/AED training required.
Prior ski patrol experience strongly preferred.
Able to work days, nights, weekends and holidays during the ski season.
Physically able to ski, walk, hike with gear, lift up to 50 pounds, and carry up to 30 pounds.
Calm, empathetic, safety-first decision maker.

Responsibilities

Maintain safety signage and identify skiing hazards to promote a safety culture.
Provide first aid and emergency assistance, transport patients when needed, complete logs and investigations.
Lead by example, reinforce safety standards with staff and patrollers.
Patrol slopes to ensure guest safety, respond quickly to injuries or lost individuals.
Enforce area policies with empathy and respect for every guest.
Perform other duties as assigned by Mountain Experience leadership.
