Job summary

Boyne Mountain Resort seeks a Patrol Manager to lead the Ski Patrol and NSP volunteer team, uphold safety protocols, and coordinate emergency response and budgeting. This full‑time, year‑round role unifies paid staff and NSP patrollers under a shared vision and maintains strong ties with resort leadership.

You will oversee training, incident documentation, risk assessments, and relationships with EMS and search & rescue agencies, while driving professional standards in a fast‑paced resort

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Ski Patrol experience with 3+ years in managerial/leadership roles.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant experience may substitute.
• Strong budgeting, P&L management, and financial reporting skills.
• Proactive communicator able to supervise paid staff and NSP volunteers.
• Proven ability to learn payroll, scheduling, and LMS platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead Ski Patrol department and NSP volunteer leadership in alignment with resort goals.
• Oversee payroll, scheduling, training records, and department administration.
• Hire, supervise, and develop patrol staff and volunteers; ensure standards are met.
• Ensure safety protocols, incident response, and documentation are maintained.
• Coordinate with local EMS, hospitals, and search & rescue agencies as needed.
• Maintain guest safety, manage budgets, and contribute to capital planning.
• Stay current with industry trends and training programs.
• Communicate changes and mountain conditions proactively to all patrollers.
