Job summary

The Hinckley Company is seeking a Marine Diesel Mechanic to join our skilled team, keeping high-performance vessels running at peak condition. You will work on top-tier brands, using diagnostic software and a hands-on approach to diagnose and repair marine systems.

If you enjoy hands-on work and learning, this is the role for you. The ideal candidate has experience in marine mechanical systems, ability to diagnose using OEM software, and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

Experience in marine mechanical systems and diagnosing vessels.
Proficiency with diagnostic software and tools.
Ability to write condition reports, estimates, and plan projects.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Experience installing marine mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

Diagnostics: Use OEM software, tools, and technologies to maintain, diagnose, troubleshoot, and complete repairs.
Repairs: Perform skilled tasks in the diagnosis of malfunctions, repairs, preventative maintenance, adjustments, and overhauls.
Product Lines: Work on Hamilton water jets, Yanmar, Volvo Penta, Cummins, Caterpillar, or FPT engines.
Safety Compliance: Perform all work to safety standards and guidelines.
Other: All duties as assigned.
