The Hinckley Company in Maine is seeking a Marine Diesel Mechanic to keep high-performance vessels running at peak condition. You will work with OEM software and a range of engines, diagnose issues, and perform repairs with precision.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Diagnostics: Use OEM software, tools, and technologies to maintain, diagnose, troubleshoot, and complete repairs.
• Repairs: Perform skilled tasks in the diagnosis of malfunctions, repairs, preventative maintenance, adjustments, and overhauls.
• Product Lines: Comfortable with Hamilton water jets, Yanmar, Volvo Penta, Cummins, Caterpillar, or FPT engines.
• Safety Compliance: All work performed to safety standards and guidelines.
• Other: All duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum one (1) year of experience in marine mechanics or related fields.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in confined spaces.
• Certifications: ABYC certification (preferred). Must hold a valid driver’s license.
• Pre-Employment: All applicants must be able to successfully pass a background check as a condition of employment.
