Job summary

Orion seeks a Dive Tender to perform and supervise dive operations in a marine construction setting, ensuring safety and adherence to diving manuals and company policies. You will coordinate with the Diving Supervisor and project team, maintain dive equipment, and participate in training and safety initiatives.

Requirements include 2+ years dive tending experience and commercial dive training; ability to pass a physical, communicate effectively, and work as part of a crew on offshore/shore-based

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years dive tending experience and completion of commercial dive training from a certified dive school.
• Must be at least 18 years old, pass a physical exam, and be capable with diving equipment and procedures.
• Prefer prior experience on marine construction projects and strong verbal communication for team coordination.

Responsibilities

• Works as assigned to ensure safe and successful completion of all diving operations.
• Performs topside and underwater tasks as directed by the Diving Supervisor.
• Maintains diver-worn equipment and assists in repair and maintenance as required.
• Obeys signals to surface and reports any physical issues to the Diving Supervisor.
• Follows safe diving procedures per Diving Manual, policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
• Prepares an Emergency Plan on site with recompression facility details and transport contacts.
• Participates in training on company policies, regulatory guidelines, First Aid and CPR.
• Contributes to Safety and Environmental initiatives and maintains confidentiality.
