Job summary

JVM Realty is seeking a Maintenance Technician to handle maintenance requests, prepare apartments for move-ins, and support the Property Manager in keeping the community safe, clean, and market-ready.

The role involves inspecting and repairing electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, doors, and fixtures, while upholding safety standards and timely service completion. A strong customer-focused mindset and reliable teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must read and understand English.
• 2 years of property management maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience in electrical, plumbing, HVAC and carpentry.
• Knowledge of safety features for equipment, machinery, tools or materials.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance service requests and apartment make-readies.
• Assist Property Manager and Maintenance Supervisor to maintain community appearance and safety.
• Inspect and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, windows, doors, appliances, fixtures, flooring and paint.
• Maintain pool conditions and general maintenance areas.
• Complete 8-point preventative maintenance checklist and 48-hour service targets.
• Refund moves and turnover inspections; adhere to safety rules and reports.
