Job summary

Henderson Sport & Social in Henderson, NV, seeks a part-time Kitchen Steward to keep dishes, utensils, and barware clean and available to support food production and guest service.

As the backbone of an efficient kitchen, you will maintain sanitary workspaces, assist prep and line cooks, and ensure safety and cleanliness standards are met. This role requires teamwork, reliability, and the ability to work evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
• Positive attitude with a passion for teamwork.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate the dish machine and properly wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, cookware, utensils, and bar equipment.
• Properly organize and store clean dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of both the kitchen and bar dish areas.
• Wash pots, pans, kitchen equipment, and floor mats as needed.
• Empty trash and recycling, sweep and mop floors, clean floor drains, and maintain a safe work environment.
• Assist with organizing storage areas, receiving deliveries, rotating stock, and putting away supplies.
• Assist Prep Cooks and Line Cooks with basic food preparation, including washing produce.
• Monitor chemical levels and notify leadership when supplies require replenishment.
• Report broken equipment, dish machines, racks, leaks, or safety concerns promptly.
• Remain productive during slower periods by assisting kitchen team members.
• Complete opening, closing, cleaning, and additional duties as assigned.
