Job summary

Magellan Health seeks a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist to coach and develop strength and conditioning programs at Vance AFB, OK. You will collaborate with medical and leadership teams to enhance performance, wellness, and injury prevention for federal personnel.

You will design individualized plans and report any medical concerns to higher care. Requirements include a Bachelor's in Exercise Science or Kinesiology, 3+ years of coaching experience with high-demand groups, NSCA CSCS,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.
3+ years of experience as a Strength and Conditioning Coach with high-demand populations.
NSCA CSCS certification is required.
BLS certification is required.
Experience designing strength and conditioning programs for individuals and groups.
Experience delivering training on injury mitigation and conditioning.
Capable of working outdoors in all weather.
Willingness to travel up to 10%.
U.S. Citizenship required.
Proficiently use computers and software to document work.

Responsibilities

Coach government/military personnel to implement productive conditioning programs aligned with job requirements.
Collaborate with medical, athletic training, and leadership teams to support recovery and wellness.
Design and deliver individualized programs to optimize performance and reduce injury risk.
Attend staff meetings and coordinate services with organizational leadership.
Provide expert guidance on conditioning, wellness, injury prevention, and recovery.
